Job Title: Projects Finance Assistant
Function: Finance
Location: Knowsley (Hybrid working available)
Job Purpose:
To support the financial management of projects across all UK regions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the finance team to ensure project financial information is accurate and up to date.
Set up new projects in the accounting system based on information provided by the sales and project teams.
Assist with monthly revenue recognition in line with accounting standards.
Liaise with the sales team regarding new and ongoing projects.
Update and amend project budgets as required.
Raise project sales invoices and liaise with logistics to prepare and process invoices for overseas projects.
Assist with the month-end work-in-progress (WIP) process.
Represent finance in project handover meetings.
Support both internal and external audits from a project finance perspective.
Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting relating to project revenue.
Liaise with international teams regarding commission calculations for overseas projects.
Carry out general administrative and ad hoc finance duties as required.
Follow all relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a finance or accounts department.
AAT qualification (part or fully qualified) or equivalent is desirable.
Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Office.
Working knowledge of accounting software.
Good commercial and financial understanding.
