We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced phlebotomist to join our friendly team on a part-time basis for a fixed-term contract of 12 months. This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful difference in delivering high-quality care to our patient population.
Key responsibilities of this role include venepuncture sampling in line with clinical protocols, ensuring accurate identification, labelling and handling of specimens, supporting clinical staff by maintaining stock levels in clinical and non-clinical rooms and ordering medical supplies.
Applicants must have previous phlebotomy experience, excellent communication and patient care skills, be reliable, organised and able to work both independently and as part of our team. Familiarity with NHS systems or working in a primary care setting is also desirable.
We really are an innovative and pioneering practice which works very differently to many other practices in the UK. We are proud to provide GP services to a number of projects which including Dundee Womens Aid Recovery, Prison Services (Castle Huntly & Bella), Drug Recovery Service, the training of medical students and junior doctors and provision of GP services as part of NHS Taysides Violent Patient Scheme.
