Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need of care. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being in various settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private residences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with experience in senior care, Alzheimer's care, and dementia care being highly advantageous.
Duties
As a Care Worker, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Supporting clients with mobility and transferring them safely when necessary.
* Assisting with meal preparation and ensuring proper nutrition for clients.
* Administering medication as prescribed and monitoring client health status.
* Engaging clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
* Offering companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
* Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
* Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
* Driving clients to appointments or social activities as needed.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have: Familiarity with behaviour management techniques and first aid practices.
* A caring attitude towards individuals with diverse needs including those suffering from dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
