SENIOR DESIGN TECHNICIAN

52 weeks per year OR Term Time Working
8am - 4pm, one early finish of 3.30pm a week (Flexibility for the right candidate)
Grade G Point 8 - 12, £26,824 - £28,598 (FTE)
We are seeking to appoint a Senior Design Technician to work as part of the Design team, supporting practical work through the preparation and management of materials.
Responsibilities
* Support teaching and learning throughout Design Faculty.
* General faculty administration tasks.
* Monitor stock levels of materials, tools and equipment; reorder as necessary ensuring best value for money.
* Check and maintain hand tools and machinery for safe use.
* Monitor health and safety, conduct checks and arrange external servicing.
* Attend/update data courses as required for safe use and maintenance of machinery.
Qualifications & Experience
* Enjoy being part of a team.
* Highly organised.
* Able to work under pressure during busy times such as exam periods and exhibitions.
* Flexible.
* Experience advantageous; full training provided.
