Elevation Recruitment Group are excited to announce we are working exclusively with a global manufacturer of aerospace components to recruit a Production Manager based at their site in Nottingham.
Reporting in to the Operations Manager, the Production Manager will manage a team of approx. 20-30 skilled operatives operating a 3 shift pattern:
Afternoons: 1.48 pm – 9.30 pm Monday-Thursday
1.48 pm – 7.00 pm Friday
The Production Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Oversee the production process, ensuring that all products are produced on time and within budget.
* Monitor and maintain quality standards throughout the production process.
* Develop strategies to increase efficiency and reduce costs across production.
* Create reports detailing performance metrics related to production output, cost savings initiatives, etc.
* Use Lean Manufacturing Principles to drive out waste and increase productivity.
* Performance management of team, ensuring company values are embedded, accountability is understood and continually promoting a safety first culture.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
* Demonstrable management experience within a complex manufacturing business
* Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and able to motivate and direct a team
* Experience of deploying continuous improvement methodologies such as lean and six sigma, ideally with accreditation.
* Must be highly organised and able to prioritise workloads
* Has a proven track record delivering improved operational performance in both favourable and unfavourable conditions, utilising cross-functional teams
