EQUANS is recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor based in Oldham. This is a permanent full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week. The package includes a salary up to £60,000, car allowance, bonus, and benefits.
Overview
Responsible for managing all commercial, financial, and contractual aspects of the project to maximize profitability, ensure legal and contractual compliance, and proactively manage commercial issues. This includes timely applications, valuations, subcontractor payments, cost reports, and adherence to SHEQ policies.
Key Responsibilities
* Control project expenditure
* Reconcile cost/value reports and forecast profits
* Assist with pre-start planning and programming
* Manage subcontract procurement and accounts
* Handle change management and contractual issues
* Coordinate with buyers on procurement
* Monitor cost control, reporting, and cash flow
* Ensure compliance with contract specifications and pricing
* Support subcontractor selection and management
* Prepare valuations, final accounts, and payment requests
* Attend project meetings and develop client relationships
* Assist with estimates and negotiations for future projects
* Manage project costs and safety equipment adherence
* Develop and train surveyors
* Maintain professional relationships for business development

Candidate Requirements
Experience
* Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in social housing
* Postgraduate experience reporting to a Senior Surveyor or Commercial Manager
* Knowledge of social housing repairs, refurbishments, compliance, and maintenance
