Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist – Neuro-Oncology

We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join the Neuro-Oncology team at The Royal Marsden Hospital as a fixed-term Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist. This role is ideal for a motivated and experienced oncology nurse eager to make a difference in the lives of patients with brain tumours.
In this role, you will work with a diverse range of adult patients, supporting individuals with both high- and low-grade brain tumours. You will serve as the primary point of contact within the tumour group, managing complex care needs and delivering patient-centred care throughout the treatment journey.
You will mainly work in an outpatient setting, triaging patient concerns via phone and email, and escalating issues as necessary. The role requires clinical expertise, strong relationship-building skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
* Interest in neuro-oncology and a passion for cancer care.
* Strong clinical background with experience in managing complex needs.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Skilled in patient triage, escalation, and holistic care.
* Neuro-oncology experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
* Self-motivated, compassionate, and committed to professional development.
