About the Role
Hays Education is delighted to be supporting a primary school in Havering in recruiting an experienced and high-calibre Teaching Assistant – SEN Support. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking school whose mission is to “inspire learners and change lives.”
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
•Provide tailored support for pupils with SEN across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
•Engage and motivate pupils, creatively differentiating learning where necessary.
•Work collaboratively with teachers and colleagues to deliver high-quality provision.
•Support children with ASD using approaches such as PECS, Attention Autism, TACPAC, and Intensive Interaction.
•Contribute to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.
What We’re Looking For
•NVQ Level 2/3 qualification in Primary Education.
•Calm, patient, and highly organised personality.
•Excellent team player with flexibility and initiative.
•Previous experience supporting children with ASD.
•Strong interpersonal skills andmitment to inclusion.
•Enthusiastic and dedicated individual who can work both independently and as part of a team.
