Are you a hands-on Maintenance Engineer with experience in plant, vehicles, mechanical or electrical equipment? Based in Stafford, this role supports plant and equipment used within a live Defence environment at a major MOD site. It is an excellent opportunity for ex-military engineers from REME, Royal Engineers, RAF, Royal Navy or RLC backgrounds. We also welcome applications from civilian engineers with relevant experience. The Role As a Maintenance Engineer, you will inspect, service, fault-find and repair a range of plant and support equipment used in Defence settings, including: Forklifts Telehandlers Excavators Generators Lighting towers Mechanical plant and support equipment You will be responsible for: Planned maintenance and servicing Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding Repairs and component replacement Inspections and safety checks Completing service records and job documentation Supporting equipment availability and operational readiness What Were Looking For You may come from a background in: Plant maintenance HGV maintenance Automotive engineering Materials handling equipment Military engineering Mechanical or electrical service engineering You will ideally have: Level 3 qualification in Plant, Mechanical, Automotive or Electrical Maintenance, or equivalent hands-on experience Good mechanical, hydraulic and electrical skills Experience diagnosing and repairing faults Ability to work independently and safely A reliable, practical and professional approach Ex-Military Engineers Encouraged to Apply This role is especially well suited to candidates leaving the Armed Forces or already in civilian industry after service.
