Associate Professor/ Professor - Clinical Neuropsychology (Female Only)
Position within the School of Psychology at UNSW, Sydney, Australia, reporting to the Head of School.
About the Role
* Level D (Associate Professor) – Salary $185K to $204K (plus superannuation and annual leave loading).
* Level E (Professor) – Salary $237K plus superannuation.
* Full‑time, 35 hours per week, no direct reports.
Key Responsibilities (Level D)
* Apply a teaching philosophy and reflective practice for neuropsychology courses.
* Lead program development and delivery for the Masters Clinical Neuropsychology (MCN) program.
* Manage curriculum administration and quality assurance.
* Conduct teaching, assess student learning, and provide feedback.
* Design learning activities and support learning progression.
* Seek external education funding and lead school/faculty meetings and committees.
* Engage in national teaching and learning dialogues and partnerships.
* Carry out independent research in clinical neuropsychology, securing research income and leading grants.
* Build and supervise research groups; mentor PhD and postdoc students.
* Contribute to commercialisation and knowledge exchange.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety and university values.
* Recruit and supervise HDRs to timely completion as primary supervisor.
* Align with and demonstrate the Code of Conduct and Values.
Additional Responsibilities (Level E)
* Lead research at international level and secure significant government/industry funding.
* Maintain research groups and networks.
* Provide leadership in community affairs and professional sectors.
* Mentor early‑career academics on grant funding and commercialization.
* Lead the commercialisation of research outcomes and initiate major research collaborations.
Selection Criteria – Level D
* PhD in clinical neuropsychology or closely related discipline.
* AHPRA endorsement for clinical neuropsychology.
* Teaching experience with innovative pedagogies, course and program development, and online delivery.
* Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence.
* Experience with industry or work‑integrated learning.
* Evidence of inclusive culture and equity‑focused initiatives.
* Research leadership with high‑quality publications and grant income.
* Strong interpersonal, organisational and mentoring skills.
* Commitment to UNSW values, policies and health & safety.
