Salary: £70,000 - 70,000 per year Requirements: We require strong commercial experience developing full-stack software applications using Java and modern front-end frameworks such as React. We require previous experience operating at Senior, Lead, or Principal Engineer level. We require a strong understanding of software architecture, API design, and scalable distributed systems. We require experience building cloud-native applications and working within AWS, Azure, or similar cloud environments. We require strong knowledge of DevOps tooling, CI/CD pipelines, containers, and automation. We require experience delivering secure, production-grade systems within agile teams. We require excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and technical leadership skills. We require the ability to balance hands-on engineering with mentoring and leadership responsibilities. We would prefer experience working within Government, Defence, or National Security environments. We would prefer familiarity with secure or classified programmes. We would prefer knowledge of ITSM or operational support environments. We would prefer experience working within highly regulated or mission-critical sectors. Responsibilities: We lead the design, development, and delivery of secure full-stack applications using Java, React, and modern web technologies. We build scalable back-end services, APIs, and distributed systems. We develop responsive and user-focused front-end applications using React and associated frameworks. We design and maintain cloud-native solutions across AWS, Azure, and private cloud environments. We drive DevOps and automation best practices including CI/CD, containers, and infrastructure-as-code. We support and mentor engineers within agile delivery teams. We collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, architects, and multidisciplinary teams to shape technical solutions. We contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from discovery and architecture through to deployment and production support. We promote engineering excellence, clean coding standards, and continuous improvement across teams.
