Location: Horsham
Salary: £47, rising to £50, after probation.
Hours of work: 4 on 4 off / 2 days, 2 nights & 4 off - That's over half the year off + 24 days additional annual leave.
A quick look at the role
The role holder will be responsible for driving plant availability through ensuring all PPM’s, reactive maintenance, engineering, and process improvements are carried out and implemented in a timely manner. The role holder will drive best practice on a daily basis through high engineering, compliance and H&S standards.
Your core responsibilities
1. Provide high operational availability, and an efficient breakdown repair service. Diagnosis running faults and ensuring effective repairs and improvements are conducted within minimum time scale.
2. Develop and implement a programme of planned preventative maintenance and inspection to minimise downtime, provide records of recurrent faulting and develop engineered solutions to these issues.
3. Carry out minor maintenance operations to plant and equipment.
4. To liaise with external contractors on specific repairs/maintenance work.
5. Keep abreast of changes to health & safety and environmental legislation and company policies to ensure defined standards and best practice are implemented.
Requirements
Our essential requirement.
6. Engineering qualifications NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
7. Desirable - Additional relevant qualifications.
8. We would consider candidates currently working as Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Maintenance Electrician, Industrial Electrician, Electrical Technician, Electrical Shift Engineer, Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (electrical bias), Electrical Service Engineer, Plant Electrician, Electrical Fitter, Electrical & Instrumentation Technician, Controls Engineer, Automation Engineer, Electrical Facilities Engineer, Electrical Systems Engineer, Senior Electrical Technician, Electrical Reliability Engineer, Electrical Operations Engineer, Electrical Support Engineer, or Electrical Maintenance Technician.
