About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support a key infrastructure project on the M25 at Junction 10. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in setting out, UESR roadworks, drainage, Vehicle Restraint Systems (VRS), and concrete works.
You will be responsible for implementing site engineering controls and ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of works - Right First Time - while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake setting out from primary control provided by others.
Contribute to the production and delivery of Task Briefing Sheets and Method Statements.
Assist with the preparation and briefing of Permit to Dig documentation.
Conduct on-site safety inspections, hazard identification, and help develop Safe Systems of Work.
Provide sketches and detailed setting out information for the works.
Produce and manage as-built records and data for all work elements.
Oversee and monitor subcontractor activity, including performance, attendance, and delivery against plan.
Manage quality control on site, resolving or escalating issues as needed.
Maintain a detailed daily site diary, recording labour, plant, materials, subcontractors, and outputs.
Required Experience:
Proven setting out experience.
Background in UESR roadworks.
Demonstrable experience in drainage, VRS, and concrete works.
Strong understanding of engineering controls and construction practices.
Experience working on highways or major infrastructure projects is preferred.
