Your Duties:
Deliver a full financial management service to designated Directorates within NIFRS.
Oversee financial governance, ensuring compliance, regularity, and value-for-money.
Provide robust financial insight and challenge to senior managers and directors.
Act as custodian of NIFRS's budget, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Lead forecasting, variance analysis, and monthly financial reporting activities.
Collaborate closely with Strategic Financial Management to provide data-led intelligence.
Drive cultural change in devolved budgeting and promote financial accountability.
Ensure clarity on delegated budgets and support budget holders in financial planning.
Develop and deliver financial training across Directorates to build awareness and capability.
Contribute to business case development, option appraisals, and long-term projections.
Support the development and delivery of Directorate business and financial plans.
Lead on financial risk identification and provide clear guidance on governance standards.
Prepare responses to Freedom of Information requests and other external enquiries.
Support procurement activities and authorise payments within delegated authority.
Promote best practice financial governance and statutory compliance across the organisation.
Your Profile:
Essential Criteria:
Fully qualified and current member of a CCAB-recognised professional accountancy body.
Minimum of two years' post-qualification experience in management accounting and analysis.
Strong analytical skills and experience presenting financial information clearly to senior stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to exercise sound financial judgement and challenge constructively.
Excellent communication and influencing skills, with experience working across diverse teams.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong planning, organisational, and attention to detail skills.
Able to meet deadlines under pressure and maintain accuracy.
Full UK driving licence or access to suitable transport to meet the requirements of the post.
Desirable Criteria:
Experience working within a finance function in the public sector.

Full-time, Temporary.
36.25 hours per week.
Based in Lisburn.
