An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and energetic Lecturer to join the Art & Design team to provide maternity cover from 1st March 2026.
The successful candidate will be a clear communicator with a passion for their subject and have a general knowledge of Art and Design with the interest and ability to teach BTEC Art and Design level 1 through to 3.
The new team member will be expected to have experience of classroom-based teaching and be able to offer subject tutor support to student groups. The hours of work may include evening and weekend sessions. You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining high levels of student attendance, retention and achievement.
The successful candidate will have recent industry-related experience and a related undergraduate qualification, plus a qualification in English and Mathematics at minimum Level 2. A teaching qualification would be desirable but not essential as this would be an excellent opportunity for an industry professional to gain experience of vocational teaching.
Good administration and interpersonal skills are essential.
