As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of all manufacturing equipment and facilities. You'll carry out preventive maintenance, troubleshoot faults, manage repairs, and support ongoing improvement projects to minimise downtime and maximise performance. Key Responsibilities Preventive Maintenance: Schedule and carry out planned maintenance to reduce equipment breakdowns and extend machinery lifespan. Fault Finding & Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues quickly and efficiently. Collaboration: Work closely with Technical Engineering, Manufacturing, and Facilities teams to coordinate maintenance activities and drive continuous improvement. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work meets health and safety standards and company policies. Record Keeping: Accurately log maintenance tasks and performance data using the Accruent (CMMS) system. Inventory Management: Monitor spare parts stock and control maintenance costs. Emergency Response: React promptly to breakdowns and unplanned maintenance needs. Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and training to production staff. Skills & Experience Required Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment. Must have a strong understanding of injection moulding machines Knowledge of BS EN ISO 14644 cleanroom standards, ISO 9001, and cGMP requirements. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Strong mechanical and electrical skills (hydraulic and pneumatic experience beneficial). Understanding of lean manufacturing principles (MUDA, 6S, Kaizen). 18th Edition (BS 7671) qualification and apprenticeship-trained (EICR certification advantageous). Confident using Microsoft Excel and maintenance systems. Working knowledge of PLC logic and programming (Rockwell software preferred). Strong communication and teamwork skills. Why Join This Company?
