The Role
An exciting opportunity has opened for a Technical SEO Manager with proven expertise and strong client-facing skills to take ownership of a portfolio of high-value accounts. You will collaborate with the Technical SEO Director and manage a Technical SEO Executive. The team is based in London and Leeds.
We’re looking for someone with deep experience across all areas of technical SEO, including crawl audits, international SEO, indexation challenges, internal linking, competitor analysis, keyword research, and the application of emerging technologies such as LLMs. A solid grasp of core development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is essential, along with the ability to integrate UX insights into your strategy. Familiarity with basic API requests will be highly valuable.
You’ll need a strong data-driven mindset with an eye for detail. You will analyse large datasets to connect the dots, then translate them into clear, succinct, and actionable insights for clients. Strong writing, information design, and coordination & collaboration skills are essential. As a client-facing leader, you’ll be responsible for driving weekly check-ins and steering larger monthly & quarterly meetings, with support from your line manager. Confidence in presenting and a proactive, practical, solution-driven attitude are essential.
Key Responsibilities
 * Manage the day-to-day technical support and implementation across a core client set.
 * Proficiently manage, investigate, and analyse crawl & log files in Screaming Frog, custom crawlers, client extractions.
 * Discuss and make recommendations on new emerging areas of technical SEO such as LLM models.
 * Construct forecasts based on logical assumptions and frameworks.
 * Learn and develop a clear understanding of agency best practices.
 * Build and maintain strong client relationships by gaining their trust.
 * Work with the SEO Executives to complete work in a timely manner and maintain basic technical requirements.
 * Develop the SEO executives in the team and contribute towards training and SEO best practice.
 * With your line manager, learn to pull together strategic roadmaps for clients and action recommendations from these roadmaps.
 * Work closely with the SEO Strategy and Paid Search teams to ensure alignment and integrated performance.
Desired Skills And Experience
 * 3+ years’ experience in an SEO remit, ideally within an agency environment.
 * Proven experience of working with enterprise-level clients and large budgets.
 * Solid experience using Google Analytics, Search Console, and other analytics platforms to isolate data and derive meaningful insights.
 * Extensive experience using core SEO databases and tools including SEMrush and Ahrefs.
 * Excellent data analysis skills and proficiency with spreadsheets.
 * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to frame challenges clearly and present confidently.
 * Strong time management and prioritisation skills, with experience keeping within retainer/project scopes.
 * Strong attention to detail and a practical, problem-solving approach.
 * International SEO experience would be a bonus.
