About Steadrock Capital
Steadrock is a London-based multifamily office and investment firm operating at the intersection of real estate private equity, AI compute infrastructure, and quantitative finance.
We recently acquired 10 Queen’s Gate Place (SW7) for redevelopment into six luxury units (Grade II listed) with a projected GDV materially above £17M. Alongside our real estate strategy, we operate a dedicated AI infrastructure stack centered on an NVIDIA DGX system, used for in-house modelling, automation, and agent development. We are building a small, elite technical team. This role is a core pillar of that team.
Role:
AI & Systems Engineer. This is a hybrid role blending backend engineering, GPU systems, AI agent development, and automation. In your role, you will work with a part time, outside, technical consultant, specialising in the responsibilities below. This will allow for structured and greatly accelerated learning.
Day to day, you will work directly with the founder, our economics lead, and our quantitative modelling lead. This is not a corporate environment. We move fast, prefer clean architecture, and value people who can think independently.
Core Responsibilities
You will own the technical backbone of Steadrock's internal systems:
* Compute Infrastructure (DGX)
* Manage our NVIDIA DGX server (Linux environment, CUDA, system health)
* Build, test, and maintain internal APIs (FastAPI/Flask)
* Design stable ngrok / reverse-proxy / network connections for remote access
* Optimise GPU utilisation and monitor performance
* AI Agent & Automation Development
* Develop pipelines for fine-tuning, embeddings, inference
* Backend & Internal Tools
* Build the “Steadrock OS”: internal dashboards, scheduling tools, risk engines
* Maintain Python codebase, Git repositories, environments
* Connect iPhone/iPad workflows with backend systems
* Data & Real Estate Interfaces
* Build automated comparables engines
* Assist with financial modelling scripts
What You Need
Technical
* Strong Python
* Experience with Linux (Ubuntu), bash, SSH
* Understanding of GPUs, CUDA basics, or willingness to learn fast
* Experience with FastAPI, Flask or similar
* Basic networking knowledge (ports, tunnels, proxies)
* SQL or NoSQL experience
Preferred
* Experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, Qwen)
* Exposure to Docker or Kubernetes
* Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP)
* Coursework or experience in ML, transformers, NLP, or distributed systemsBonus (not required)
* Interest in real estate
* Interest in finance or quantitative modelling
* Experience building agents (LangChain, LlamaIndex, custom architectures)
