Job Title: Teacher of Maths Location: Ofsted‑rated Good College in Derbyshire (Derby area) Contract Type: Temporary Hours: Part‑time – Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (all day) and Wednesday (mornings; other patterns may be available) Pay: Competitive (PAYE, weekly) About the Role We are recruiting a committed Teacher of Maths to join a further education college in Derbyshire with a strong reputation for delivering high‑quality maths education in GCSE and functional skills. You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons that support learners to achieve strong outcomes and build confidence in their mathematical skills. This part‑time role will see you teaching across key stages with the flexibility to work across multiple days (as above). Interviews are scheduled early in January. Key Responsibilities Deliver high‑quality teaching and learning for GCSE and maths programmes. Plan engaging and inclusive lessons that stretch and challenge learners. Assess progress and provide timely feedback to support student development. Collaborate with the maths team to share best practice. Essential Qualifications & Experience Minimum Level 2 Maths and English. Experience teaching Maths, ideally to learners aged 16 or equivalent. Evidence of successful delivery in GCSE Maths or similar. Teaching qualification such as PGCE / Certificate in Education or Professional Diploma in Teaching.
