Are you a compassionate, empathetic individual with strong interpersonal skills?
We are seeking a Memorial Consultant to join our Funeral Operations team at Woodfield Park Funeral Directors, where you will support families in creating lasting tributes for their loved ones. This role blends care, consultation, support — and, when required, funeral arranging responsibilities.

Why This Role Matters
Within Dignity's Funeral Operations, we help families create meaningful memorials that honour the lives of their loved ones. As a Memorial Consultant, you will guide clients with compassion, offer thoughtful options, and ensure each memorial is a true reflection of the individual being remembered. In addition to memorial services, you will also support the wider team by fulfilling Arranger duties, assisting in the planning and coordination of funerals with empathy, precision, and care.

Key Responsibilities
Memorial Duties:

* Meet with families to discuss and recommend memorial options, including plaques, headstones, and garden placements
* Guide clients through the memorial selection, personalisation, and installation process
* Present memorial products clearly and sensitively, ensuring clients understand their choices
* Maintain accurate records of client interactions and orders
* Coordinate with funeral directors, site teams, suppliers, and administrative colleagues to ensure smooth order processing
* Participate in site events, memorial open days, and community engagement activities

Arranger Duties:

* Welcome and support families in-branch with professionalism, warmth, and compassion
* Assist clients in arranging funeral services in line with their wishes, values, and any pre-paid funeral plans
* Guide families through legal and administrative requirements, including completion of necessary documentation
* Liaise with internal teams and external partners (e.g. clergy, florists, venues) to coordinate all aspects of the funeral
* Maintain accurate and confidential client records in line with GDPR and company policies
* Ensure all client needs are met while adhering to company standards and service levels
* Provide support in managing viewings, chapel of rest bookings, and ceremonial arrangements

About You
We're looking for someone who:

* Has natural empathy and the ability to support grieving families with sensitivity
* Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Is a confident communicator with strong active listening abilities
* Is organised and detail-oriented, with excellent administrative capabilities
* Has experience in client support, retail, bereavement services, or other client-facing roles
* Is confident using IT systems to manage client records and documentation
* Is flexible and adaptable, able to switch between memorial and arranger duties as needed
* (Preferred but not essential) Has experience in the funeral, memorial, or bereavement care sector

What We Offer

* A role that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of families
* Full training and ongoing support
* 30-33 days annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays
* Company pension, life assurance, and employee assistance programme
* Memorial sales-based commission scheme
* Annual company bonus
