More about your role
This is an exciting role for a commercially minded Accountant (either fully qualified or able to demonstrate capabilities through experience) who is looking for an analytical role where the work you do supports financial and operational performance. You will provide a fully comprehensive planning and budgeting service for our organisation.
Working in conjunction with the Head of Finance and Finance Director of Developments, you will provide commercial support on a number of the Group's development and business decisions by:
1. Contributing to the development and maintenance of financial models to assess and understand the key performance metrics of Group investment and development decisions, assessing the impact on the Group's cash flow, borrowing requirements, regulatory requirements, and financial statements.
2. Working closely with the Development and Group Finance teams, Development Managers, Group and company Directors to understand the scope of projects, gather and challenge relevant information and assumptions.
3. Clearly present and explain the financial performance of a project and provide advice so that effective decisions can be made as to how project returns can be improved whilst considering, and where possible, reducing risks.
In this role, you will oversee, analyse, and create evaluations that will allow the project team to maximise project cash flows and returns. The models must be sufficiently advanced to support a range of project scenarios and options.

More about you
We are looking for a qualified Accountant (/ACA/FCA/ACCA/CA/IMA). You will be seeking a position that combines day-to-day reporting with routine and ad hoc project work and collaboration with the Finance Manager and others, so you should be a natural multi-tasker.
You will need advanced Excel skills and be comfortable with modelling complex spreadsheets with large amounts of data. It would be ideal if you have experience working in a large, matrixed business, preferably a housebuilder. You should also be able to demonstrate where you have identified and implemented process improvements that increased efficiency and made a tangible difference. The role will involve some work with the wider business, so good stakeholder management skills are also required.
The benefits
We are a large, diverse, and ambitious business, which will give you job security and all the challenge you could wish for. Here, people can flourish, thrive, better themselves, and work in fantastic communities with inspirational colleagues and customers.
We know there's always more we can do to make you smile. That's why we offer a comprehensive benefits package to help colleagues save money or make their lives a little easier, which can include:
* Excellent holiday package and rewards
* Pension with matched contributions
* Training
* Extra perks including discounts and offers from shops, cinemas, and much more
