Freight Coordinator

Hours: 09:00 – 17:00
Reports to: Branch Manager
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Freight Coordinator to join our Road department in Birmingham.
About the Role
As a Freight Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating overland imports and exports, processing trailers, and handling customs clearances. Alongside operational tasks, you'll support the team with general office administration, including processing supplier invoices, and play an active role in maintaining our high standards of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage overland imports and exports
* Coordinate trailer processing and customs clearance
* Handle general office administration and invoice processing
* Work closely with the team to maintain excellent customer service
* Communicate effectively with colleagues across all levels of the business
* Support projects as defined by management
* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
* Promote and adhere to health & safety standards in the workplace
* Carry out additional tasks as reasonably requested by your manager
Requirements
Essential:
* Flexible approach to duties and tasks
* Solid understanding of overland European imports and general office administration
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage tasks consistently and effectively
Desirable:
* Full UK driving licence
