The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer : Automotive Exteriors to join a leading global engineering consultancy, supporting exterior systems design activities for a world:class luxury vehicle manufacturer.
This is a superb opportunity for an experienced Senior Design Engineer : Automotive Exteriors to contribute to the design and development of exterior components, ensuring class:leading quality, function, and aesthetic appeal within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high:quality 3D and 2D CAD models using CATIA V6 for exterior systems and components.
* Conduct feasibility and package studies to ensure robust design solutions that meet technical, manufacturing, and quality requirements.
* Collaborate closely with cross:functional teams, including CAE and manufacturing engineers, to ensure alignment with programme objectives.
* Provide technical input during design reviews and throughout the full product development lifecycle.
* Liaise with engineering teams both in the UK and overseas to support seamless project delivery.
Key Skills and Experience
* Proven experience as a Senior Design Engineer : Automotive Exteriors within the automotive industry.
* Proficient in CATIA V6 with strong knowledge of exterior systems such as bumpers, trims, glazing, and body panels.
* Fluent in English, capable of clear and precise technical communication.
* CAE capability is highly advantageous.
* Mandarin language skills would be considered a strong additional benefit.
