Overview
Rota Nanny role in Winchester, SO23. This family are looking for a Nanny for their 21 month old daughter. The role is 4 days a week, Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm – on an 8 week rolling rota, whilst dad is away working. Mum works from home; this is a sole charge, live out position.
Responsibilities
* Morning routine, preparing/cooking healthy meals and snacks
* Planning fun trips out to the park, going on walks, exploring outside and ensuring she is happy and safe
* All usual nursery duties such as keeping children’s areas tidy and children’s laundry
About the Child and Family Fit
This happy, easy going little girl enjoys being out in the garden, imaginative tuff trays, music/dancing and sensory activities. The family are looking for an experienced, engaging and safety conscious nanny; someone outdoorsy with Montessori experience would be a great match.
Details
* Location: central Winchester, with walkable amenities
* Temporary start option: first 8 weeks from 5 January to 5 March, before the permanent role begins
* Hours: 8.5 hours per day, 4 days per week
* Pay: £20 gross per hour; £680 gross per week; £5,440 gross for 8 week rota
* Pets in the home: No
* Driving: Ideally a driver; car could be provided in future. However, there are lots of walkable places as based centrally
* Job Start Date: 5 January 2025 (first 8 weeks possible as temp)
* Qualifications/Experience: Minimum of two years professional nannying experience with a similar age
Qualifications and Training
* Paediatric first aid
* Childcare qualification not essential but ideally Montessori experience and knowledge of the EYFS
Requirements & Application
* Up-to-date enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
* 12 hour Paediatric First Aid certificate
* Minimum of 2 professional referees who are happy for you to share their contact details; one reference must be your current or last employer and both must be immediately contactable
* Appropriate personal insurance is recommended
* Right to work checks; digital registration may be considered in certain circumstances
