Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable General Assistant to support our team at Royal Windsor. The successful candidate will be versatile and able to help out across multiple departments within the home; primarily in the kitchen and on the care team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including preparing sandwiches, and serving food to service users in the restaurant.
- Ensuring the maintenance of the bistro area, ensuring that it is clean and hygienic.
- Collecting the empty plates from residents rooms and the restaurant, and washing pots, putting them through the industrial cleaner.
- Serve hot drinks to residents and take lunch orders.
- Provide compassionate and attentive care to residents in accordance with individual care plans.
- Assist with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility support.
- Engage residents with meaningful activities and social interactions to promote overall well-being.
- Document care given on the systems used.
Qualifications:
- Experience within a care home is preferred.
- Compassionate attitude and a genuine passion for care.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Have a record of stable employment with references to evidence this.
- Must pass background checks - enhanced DBS.
