Are you passionate about improving lives through accessible housing? We're looking for a dynamic and experienced Team Leader to manage our Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG) Scheme, ensuring residents can live safely and independently in their homes.
As Team Leader, you'll lead a dedicated team of officers and support staff, overseeing the full delivery of the DFG process from initial enquiry to completed adaptations. You'll manage complex cases, provide technical advice, and work closely with partners including Occupational Therapy, Adult Social Care, and contractors.
You'll also play a key role in mentoring junior staff, driving service improvements, and helping shape the future of the service in response to Local Government Reform.
What We're Looking For
* Proven leadership and team management experience
* Strong understanding of home adaptations and grant delivery
* Ability to motivate staff and manage performance effectively
* Confident in providing technical advice to colleagues and stakeholders
* Experience in housing standards, occupational therapy, social care, or local government is highly desirable
* Comfortable representing the service at local and national levels
We're also exploring a Trusted Assessor model, a hybrid role combining grants and occupational therapy, so flexibility and innovation are key.
