As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. The warehouse operative is an Integral element of the day to day operational functionality delivering objectives and outputs efficiently and effectively within a KNGD warehouse environment.
How you create impact
1. Complete the daily MHE safety checks (where applicable)
2. Carry out assigned tasks including: picking, packing, goods receipt, checking, loading & unloading of vehicles, hygiene, the processing of returns and stock maintenance and integrity tasks.
3. Operate Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and carry out other assigned Computer based tasks as required
4. Comply and contribute to the KN 5s standards within the working area
5. Actively contribute towards continuous improvement projects and ideas
6. Operate to trained work instructions. ABC Modules/ WI
7. Adhere to company standards as detailed in the Code of Conduct Policy
8. Comply with all instructed Safe Working Practices including the reporting of all accidents and incidents within the workplace
9. Achieve individual and team productivity performance standards including accuracy
10. Adopt KN Compass behaviours
11. Follow the escalation process where there is any deviation from the standard process
12. Requirement to work at height in a safe and effective manner in line with training provided
13. The individual will be employed as a part of a multi-skilled warehouse team
What we would like you to bring
14. Experience of working to agreed targets
15. PC literate
16. MHE licence (where applicable)
17. Understanding of warehouse practises. picking, loading
18. Ability to work individually or as part of a team
19. Reliable and committed to attending work on time
20. Good Communication skills
21. Ability to achieve a high level of accuracy
22. High attention to detail
