Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) Student (School Nursing)
Position: Student Nurse in the Specialist Community Public Health Nurse program, in partnership with the University of Surrey.
Location: Dorset. The programme covers rural and urban areas within the county.

* Course commencement: 12 October 2026
* Interviews: 20 May 2026

Entry Requirements
* Full NMC registration, or enrollment in an NMC‑approved pre‑registration nursing programme; i.e., NMC registered nurse (level 1) or NMC registered midwife with an NMC pin in place at programme start.
* Postgraduate study (PGDip): a UK Bachelor Honours Degree or overseas equivalent. Combination of academic and experiential learning will be considered on individual merits.
* Required: Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The Trust will cover the cost. Applicants with access to the DBS update service may present a valid DBS certificate instead of a new check.
* Note: Candidates requiring current Skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately ineligible to apply.
Academic Responsibilities
* Meet academic competencies within the University framework.
* Actively participate in the course.
* Work with Practice Assessor and Practice Supervisor in a reflective manner.
* Adhere to University policies and procedures.
* Develop and practice relevant competencies within the specialist clinical sphere, demonstrating skills as a specialist practitioner.
* Work within NMC (2022) guidelines and scope of professional practice.
