NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013.

This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. Person specificationSkills / competenciesEssential criteria- • Clean, full driving licence- • Computer literacy and experience in the use of MS Office software- • Effective and demonstrable customer service skills- • Able to organise and plan activities for self and team to effectively prioritise tasks and to manage conflicting demands on time and resources, in order to deliver objectives.- • Ability to negotiate and influence persuasively to obtain approval, agreement, and co-operation with all contacts.- • Ability to command confidence and respect from internal colleagues and external stakeholders at all levels.- • Able to work on own initiative without supervision.- • Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.- • Ability to design and implement changes to improve systems and processes.- • Demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of individuals & groups.
