Description
Assist in maintaining and reconciling the general ledger
Post journal entries and ensure accuracy of financial records
Process supplier invoices and credit notes
Prepare payment runs and reconcile supplier statements
Raise and issue customer invoices; follow up on overdue accounts
Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations
Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns in line with relevant regulations
Ensure accurate VAT treatment on all sales and purchase invoices
Maintain and file supporting documentation for VAT audits
Assist with month-end closing procedures, including accruals and prepaymentsProfile
A successful VAT Accountant should have:
A strong educational background in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Proficiency in accounting software and Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
