Job Overview
BJ is a happy 8-year-old, he enjoys swimming, playing in the park and sand pit, and music. BJ has severe learning disabilities. He is non-verbal and requires assistance to walk. BJ is dependent on all activities of daily living. He needs to be fed and he is not toilet trained.
He is looking for a Personal Assistant that is a fun and adventurous person. They should be motivated and should be able to think on the spot creatively to support him. It is essential that they are willing to learn and adapt. A full UK driving licence is also essential.
The role involves taking and collecting BJ from school and then taking him to swim or to the park or to play at home – followed by tea. Support is required during term time on Fridays (3-6pm) and Saturday or Sunday (5 hours). Support during holidays would be divided between Tuesday and Friday.
8 hours p/week, increasing to 20 hours in school holidays
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £14.20 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 20 per week

* London SW17: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
* supporting a child with learning disabilities: 1 year (preferred)
