Our friendly and hardworking Adult Learningteam are looking for the right person to lead them through thisexciting time of change in Barrow. We’re all about using thepower of education to create opportunities for people in the townto improve their lives, learn new skills and get closer toemployment.
Who we are lookingfor
Adult Learning covers a wide curriculumincluding Mathematics, English, ESOL, Digital Skills, Wellbeingand Employability. Our ideal person will be enthusiastic,flexible, and have a real passion to drive change. Ideally youwill have experience in an educational setting, managing a teamand some experience of partnership working as we could not dowhat we do in isolation. We would also be happy to discuss therole as a development opportunity for a candaidate with similarexperiences who just needs to build their knowledge base.
You will have a good understanding of whatthe communities and employers in Barrow need to grow anddevelop.Your excellent communication skills and your confidenceusing technology and administrative techniques will ensure ourcentre runs smoothly and efficiently. This is a fast-paced roleand we’re looking for someone with empathy and initiative who canmake a real difference.
The role is based in Barrow Library, butalso includes travel across the local area and sometimes acrossthe County, so a driving licence is essential. There isoccasional evening and weekend work.
