Teaching Personnel are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lancaster to recruit a Behaviour Support Assistant for a September start.
This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual who has experience supporting pupils with behavioural, emotional or social needs and is passionate about helping children thrive within a primary school setting.
The Role:
* Providing 1:1 and small‑group behavioural support to pupils across the primary age range
* Supporting pupils to engage positively with learning and classroom routines
* Assisting with the implementation of consistent behaviour management strategies
* Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school staff
* Promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation and social development
The Ideal Candidate:
* Has experience working with children with challenging behaviour, SEMH or SEND (school‑based experience desirable)
* Is calm, patient and resilient, with a nurturing and consistent approach
* Can build strong, professional relationships with pupils and staff
* Has a genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs
* Is reliable, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
