Location: Chatham Closing Date: 23.59 hours BST on Wednesday 24 April 2024 (unless otherwise stated) The Senior Business Development & Apprenticeship Advisor is responsible for ensuring an excellent apprentice and employer experience and that the university delivers against its education strategies. The post holder will support the Business Relationship and Development Manager in establishing strong relationships with employers and ensuring the team of Apprenticeship Advisors are appropriately trained to recruit, support and review new apprentices. What you will do : Support the Business Relationship and Development Manager in maintaining existing business partnerships, providing regular feedback to apprenticeship employers on learner progress and exploring new opportunities. Line manage a team of Apprenticeship Advisors, including monitoring performance, work allocation and skills development. Work with employers to provide a timely and efficient recruitment and admissions service to apprenticeship employers, including screening, interviewing and placing apprentices, so that recruitment campaigns are managed in line with University’s best practice. In accordance with the ESFA regulations, ensure applicants are eligible. Manage the apprentice enrolment and induction process including conducting due diligence checks and induction meetings between the University and the employer and the apprentice. Including mapping of JD, training plans and programme against the apprenticeship standard. What you will need : First degree or equivalent experience of working in similar role within HE GCSE Maths & English (grade C/4 or above) or equivalent Demonstrable experience of working at a senior level with a sound knowledge and understanding of processes and procedures in higher education Experience of apprentice-facing work or a similar environment, with an understanding of the challenges of learning and engaging with academic staff from a distance Knowledge and understanding of University regulations, policies and procedures relating to academic administration (e.g. University Codes of Practice for Quality Assurance, Regulations) and experience of applying these Please contact the peopleserviceshrkent.ac.uk for further information about the role Further details: Please note that we prioritise applications from current University of Kent redeployees.
