This role will form part of the Integration Programme Management Office. When applying for this role you will be considered for all open IMO Lead Delivery vacancies. Therefore you only need to apply for one Lead Delivery Manager role to be considered for all.
Lead Delivery Manager - Broker: This role has a key position providing direct support to the Sponsor of the Broker Value Stream and will act as a ‘2IC’ providing support with decision-making and assuming responsibility as a visible senior driver of accountability and progress on the programme, as well as providing leadership, co-ordination and strategic direction on all aspects of ways of working.
Main Responsibilities as Lead Delivery Manager - Broker:
1. Support the broker value stream Sponsor and has ultimate accountability for the day to day, successful maintenance and running of value stream delivery.
2. Support improvements in ways of working which all teams can benefit from.
3. Manage the Tech Leads and Lead Product Owners to build and evolve a product roadmap to meet the needs of the programme.
4. Maintain responsibility for managing daily escalations from within the broker value stream and is responsible for owning and resolving to completion, delivery actions and identified issues delegated by the Executive Sponsors.
5. Be accountable for delivery of the Product Roadmap as set out by the Lead Product Owner.
6. Ensure delivery is in line with parameters of the technical architecture and all business implementation elements of the programme.
7. Accountable for resource capacity planning, working with the Value Stream Sponsor, the integration Management office and UKET to resolve any major or sudden challenges.
8. Accountability to own and manage the resource and non-people resource budgets for the value stream.
9. Challenge the current processes via the correct channels to constantly improve the dept ways of working and increase efficiency.
10. Ensure that benefits realisation and measurement processes are established with Finance and other stakeholders (including Partners when required)
11. Manage and coach a delivery team to establish a delivery rhythm, ensure common priorities, manage dependencies, and remove blockers.
12. Provide leadership, coaching and guidance to a multi-disciplined team and pastoral care where required (performance management, approval for leave requests etc.).
13. Actively participate in the delivery manager community, sharing and re-applying skills and knowledge and bringing in best practice.
14. Act as a champion within your value streams for the adoption of Agile WoW.
15. Identify and drive a suite of actions to improve squad effectiveness, ultimately enabling the value streams to remain efficient and support future state squad target operating model.
Skills and experience you need as Lead Delivery Manager - Broker:
16. Extensive delivery experience in large scale transformation within a regulated industry.
17. Large scale people leadership experience, working with cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams.
18. Experience of operating within agile frameworks.
19. Commercial management and delivery, particularly working with third party organisations.
20. Experience of delivering change within financial services, and specifically insurance, organisations.
21. Experience of technology replatforming.
