About the Practice

The Role
We are seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist with a minimum of 7 years post-qualification experience to join our Belfast team. The successful candidate will ideally have proven expertise in both Republic of Ireland and UK contexts.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead technical delivery and detailed design packages across all project stages with a focus on tender to construction and handover.
* Prepare and submit building control documentation, and contribute to the preparation of planning applications, fire safety certificates, and disability access certificates.
* Ensure robust compliance with building regulations, fire safety, and accessibility standards.
* Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and statutory authorities.
* Oversee Revit and BIM workflows and manage technical coordination.
* Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative studio culture.
* Experience: Minimum 7 years post-qualification in architectural practice.
* Knowledge: Strong understanding of statutory permissions (planning, fire safety, disability access), and building regulations, ideally both in Ireland and UK.
Technical Skills
* Strong technical knowledge of construction detailing and delivery
* Proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows
* Familiarity with the ISO19650 Information Management Process
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
* Professional Registration: CIAT or equivalent.
* Communication: Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Location: Based in Belfast; flexibility for travel across Ireland and UK.
* Experience in multiple sectors including residential, healthcare, commercial, and mixed-use, including existing buildings/adaptive reuse.
* Passion for and experience of sustainable design methodologies.
* BCAR Familiarity: Ideally experienced in managing BCAR compliance.
* ISO1960 Information Management Process fluency including preparation of BIM Execution Plans and associated documentation.
* Ideally familiar with the Capital Works Management Framework (CWMF) in Ireland.
* Ideally familiar with the Building Safety Act in the UK.
