We are offering an exciting opportunity of an 18 month secondment for a Diagnostic Radiographer to join our forward thinking team in a quality and safety role within the radiology department a Velindre Cancer Centre.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job
The Radiology Quality Manager is required to develop and maintain all aspects of the radiology quality management system (QMS) in conjunction with the other members of the radiology multidisciplinary team.
The post holder will manage all aspects of the radiology QMS to ensure that the quality objectives of the radiology service are met in line with the quality policy, and both regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Radiology are currently transitioning to a national radiology specific quality management system - QSI, therefore, the role is principally one of aiding that transition, modernisation, implementation and maintenance, particularly in relation to compliance with its quality standards.

Essential criteria
 * BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography and Imaging or diploma of college of radiographers
 * HCPC Registered
 * Evidence of CPD
 * Relevent Masters level qualification or equivalent experience
 * A through and detailed knowledge of proinciples and concepts of quality management in radiology
 * Knowledge of radiation regulations - IRMER/IRR
 * Knowledge of QSI
Desirable criteria
 * Knowledge of Quality assurance principles
 * Knowledge of clinical audit principles
 * Risk Management
 * Incident investigation
Knowledge

 * Experience of working within Radiology quality management
