Senior Social Worker, Orpington & The Crays Adult Locality Team
Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Senior Social Worker within the Orpington & The Crays Locality Team to work Full Time based in Bromley.
The salary for this Senior Social Worker job is up to £54,063 per annum.
Responsibilities:
1. To promote and maintain independence for vulnerable adults in line with the wellbeing principles set out in the Care Act 2014 and the Health and Social Care Act 2022.
2. To support carers to continue in their role.
3. To protect adults at risk by robust assessments and the use of safeguarding procedures with an emphasis on making safeguarding personal.
4. With the Adult & Carer, formulate and implement personal budgets and support plans.
5. Monitor, review and evaluate support plans including direct payments in order to ensure that they are consistent with eligible need.
6. Provide supervision, support and advice to other team members and deputise for the Team Leader.
7. Assist and participate in the management of the Duty Service and act as Duty Senior.
8. Undertake the safeguarding adult manager role and role of enquiry officer as defined in the Pan London Safeguarding Procedure.
9. Undertake strength-based assessments for adults and their carers. Offer support and advice as appropriate to Adults and their Carers.
10. Initiate and co-ordinate support plans for and with Adults and their Carers, in conjunction with professional colleagues and representatives of voluntary and private agencies.
11. As necessary, ensure that work is allocated, transferred or concluded, in accordance with procedures.
12. Develop and support self and staff learning.
13. Monitor and review the needs and support plans of adults and their carers.
14. Maintain client records in accordance with Council policy and professional standards.
15. Respond to and where possible resolve complaints in line with the Council's complaints procedure.
16. Ensure Adults and Carers are able to represent their views and opinions by providing advocacy, communicators or translators when appropriate.
17. Undertake any other duties commensurate with the level of the post, as required to ensure the efficient and effective running of the Department/Section.
Requirements:
1. A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
2. Understanding of relevant legislation.
3. Registered or eligible for registration.
