Are you passionate about delivering high quality, engaging, respectful, and dignified care and support to older people? If so, we are looking to recruit a passionate Senior Support Worker to join our existing management team in Carlisle.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will support the management of a small 27-bed residential care home in Carlisle. You will provide 24-hour support for older adults who require additional care and support but do not need specialist nursing care. At The Laurels, we pride ourselves on the support we offer to our residents. We have won multiple awards over the past two years, including a High Commendation at the 2023 UK Care Home Awards and being shortlisted for the Care Home Chef Awards in the same year. Our family reviews speak for themselves, with a score of 9.8 out of 10 on www.carehome.co.uk.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will care for our residents as if they are your own family, addressing their physical, psychological, and social needs. This includes assisting residents with personal care activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, supporting with meals, and engaging in activities.
We are looking for kind and caring individuals who want a role where they can truly make a difference. Previous experience in a care home environment is desirable but not essential. However, experience in leading a team and qualifications in care (Level 2 or above) are essential. Flexibility to work according to the needs of the service, including daytimes, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, is also required.
