Main duties of the job
DutiesAs aQualifiedPhlebotomist and HCA, you will be skilled in performing venipuncture and ensuring the accurate and safe collection of blood samples following the required SOPs
As anexperiencedHealthcare Assistant, you will support the delivery of various NHS services (Blood tests, ECGs, NHS health checks, basic wound dressings, diabetic checks etc.

Job responsibilities
* Phlebotomyincluding patients under the age of 16yrs if parents give full permission andthe patient is willing.
* ECGrecording
* BPchecks
* AssistingGPs in the provision of equipment for their minor ops procedures
* Chaperoningduties
* Processingand management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/Nurses
* Vaccine/coldchain storage, monitoring and recording
* Preparingand maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patientcare interventions including assisting GPs during the performance of minoroperations
* Assistingin the assessment and surveillance of patients health and well-being
* Helpingto raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted
* Assistingwith the collection and collation of data on needs related to health andwell-being
* Dressings, compression and minor wound care.
* Suture removal and staples.
* Diabetic checks
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Recognised or transferable training in Phlebotomy and/ or Venipuncture.
* A demonstrable passion to support patients in their journey to get better.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining patient records and documentation.
* Previous experience in a busy healthcare setting.
* Knowledge of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within the healthcare team.
