Hays are working exclusively with a successful business who are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
You will work within a small team but take full responsibility for the following:
1. Purchase Ledger, from processing invoices through to payment runs
2. Credit control, including chasing outstanding debts and assessing credit limits
3. Sales ledger including Sending statements weekly and posting and allocating cash
4. Run VAT reports weekly and monthly
5. Liaising with overseas Finance Team
6. Assisting with various ad hoc accounting and non-accounting tasks as required
What you'll need to succeed
You will need a strong background in accounts and be able to take responsibility for the above tasks. You should be self-motivated, be able to pick up new tasks with ease and manage your own work load. Strongmunication skills are essential to be able to liaise effectively throughout the business.
