The role
We are looking for a pro-active and people focused HR Advisor to join our Central Office team to support managers and employees across the wider organisation.
In this varied role, you'll play a key part in shaping a positive employee experience by supporting wellbeing, driving inclusive practices, delivering recruitment activity, and helping the organisation make informed, data-led people decisions.
What you will be doing?
Building strong, trusted relationships with managers to provide practical and confident HR advice across a range of people matters
Supporting employee wellbeing through absence management, welfare meetings, occupational health referrals, and proactive wellbeing initiatives
Leading end-to-end recruitment activity, including job design, advertising, interviewing, and onboarding, as well as supporting wider recruitment campaigns
Supporting the development, review, and communication of HR policies and procedures
Identifying learning and development needs and supporting managers to create and implement development plans
Contributing to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives by promoting inclusive practices and using workforce data to help improve representation and fairness
Supporting the development of people analytics by maintaining HR data, producing reports, and delivering insights to inform decision-making
Supporting employee engagement activity, including preparation and delivery of the annual employee survey and follow-up actions
Using HR systems to accurately maintain employee data and generate reports
Supporting the wider HR team in delivering key people initiatives and organisational change
Working closely with GDPR colleagues to ensure employee data is handled securely and in compliance with legislation
What we want from you?
Experience working in a HR Advisor (or similar) role within a fast-paced environment
CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards it) is desirable
Strong understanding of UK employment law and its practical application
Confident user of HR systems and strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
