There is an exciting permanent opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic full-time Senior Healthcare Worker to join our experienced multi-disciplinary team on the Rosewood Mother & Baby Unit (MBU) in Dartford. The successful candidates will work within the MBU as a valued member of the team, providing high-quality nursing care for mothers experiencing acute perinatal mental health issues and their babies.
Responsibilities
* Deliver effective and competent care under limited supervision, according to the mother's care plan.
* Supervise Healthcare Workers and Apprentice Healthcare Workers, providing guidance and training.
* Be fully aware of the needs of the mother over a 24-hour period.
* Act as a role model to colleagues and mothers.
* Maintain a safe, healthy, and secure workplace, adhering to relevant health and safety regulations and trust policies.
* This role involves shift work covering 24 hours, 7 days a week. Responsibilities include accurate record-keeping in the electronic patient record system, promoting mothers' independence, supporting physical health checks, assisting with personal hygiene, and supporting therapeutic activities.
* The role also involves escorting mothers to appointments, leading specific ward activities, serving food and drinks, and undertaking relevant training and supervision.
