An award winning, extremely flexible, Accountancy practice are seeking to appoint a Tax Assistant Manager in their established Tax team. This a Mixed tax position, focusing on review and compliance.

The firm are a keen advocate on work/life balance and there is no requirement for overtime to be worked.

The Tax Assistant Manager will be joining a vastly experienced tax team who encourage a collaborative working environment. It would be highly advantageous if you have experience preparing tax trusts.

Consideration will be given to individuals are CTA/ ACA/ ACCA qualified and possess Mixed tax experience gained in a professional accountancy practice environment. Effective communication skills are essential to communicate with colleagues and clients regarding intricate tax matters.
This unique opportunity would suit an individual striving for a better work/life balance, where there is no requirement for overtime. Hybrid working from home is available and part time hours will also be considered.

Tax Assistant Manager duties and responsibilities; Prepare tax returns personal and partnership
Manage a portfolio of clients from preparation to submission.
Prepare 60-day CGT returns, CT61s, L2P forms, ATED returns, TRS and other tax submissions as required.
Prepare HMRC enquiries responses and manage enquiries.
Prepare reports for clients advising complex tax planning opportunities.
Undertake routine tax advisory work.
On the job training and coaching of junior members of the tax team.
Manage HMRC enquiries and overall deadlines.
Manage complex HMRC disclosures and overall deadlines.
Review tax computations prepared by the accounts department, submitting notes and queries as necessary.
Keep up to date with current tax cases and legislation.
Prepare WIP for billing and manage billing generally on all work undertaken.
Develop tax understanding, and ability to communicate complex tax principles in writing, and verbally.
