Overview
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
Shift pattern: Monday-Thursday 16.30-19.30, Friday 16.30-19.18 (Pro Rata for part-time hours).
Responsibilities
* Work within the kitchen and ward areas to provide an efficient, high quality catering service to patients, staff and visitors.
* Take patients' food orders and serve food at ward level; work alongside NHS staff as required.
* Keep all areas of the kitchen clean and replenish supplies.
* Use cleaning agents safely and economically, following manufacturers’ instructions.
* Use electrical equipment where required (e.g., Burlodge Regen Oven and dishwasher).
* Wear protective clothing supplied by the Department and complete all daily/weekly sign-off sheets for areas of work, including HACCP paperwork.
* Maintain a flexible approach to daily routines.
