Client Local Authority in Ealing Job Title Project Officer Pay Rate £22.33 an hour PAYE Hours 35 Hours(Mon-Fri) Duration Initial 3 Month Contract Location HYBRID WORKING - at least 1 day per week (Wednesday) at Perceval House,Ealing. For the initial induction several days in the office will be required Description PURPOSE OF ROLE: * To plan, manage and deliver, in accordance with the Council's procedures and guidelines and in consultation with the Team Manager and others as appropriate. * To support the development of effective partnership working with external providers / stakeholders to ensure deliverables maximise value for money and resident satisfaction. * To be responsible for public consultation, design, co-ordination, project management, monitoring and reporting on the projects to the Team Manager, in accordance with the project timetable and agreed tolerances. * To oversee the financial aspects of projects and authorise payments in accordance with their level of authority and within the projects cost tolerance. * To deliver public consultation, design, co-ordination and organisation of implementation across the service departments and committees and working with colleagues across the Council. * To be responsible for the management and delivery of projects with a combined value in the region of £250k. * To be responsible for the co-ordination and completion of the project utilising, but not exclusively limited to, a variety of tasks including setting deadlines, monitoring and reporting on the projects process to the Team Manager, in accordance with the project timetable and agreed tolerances. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Challenge, Change and Improvement 1. Application of work management, project management and performance management systems to measure work progress in both output and milestone terms. 2. Provide guidance on health and safety and other legislation relevant to the role and record any lessons learned throughout the project so that these can be implemented on existing/future council projects. 3. To apply project management skills and council policies, to achieve the councils aims for the service and through the experiences gained on the project, inform the Team Manager of areas for improvement. ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: Experience and technical knowledge in waste management. Managing projects and service improvements, measuring performance and progress in both output and milestone terms. Self-reliant and well organised to be able to prioritise and manage a wide-range of tasks and achieve results, sometimes within tight deadlines.
