With a strong reputation and a secure pipeline of work through Q3 2027, including over £400m in tendered projects in 2025, we offer an exciting opportunity to join our team at a pivotal moment of growth.\n\nAs a Trainee Estimator, you will support the estimating team in preparing accurate cost assessments for commercial and industrial construction projects. \n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nAssist in the preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions.\nLearn how to analyse project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to support accurate take-offs and pricing.\nHelp with compiling enquiries and reviewing tender documents.\nSupport in analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations.\nWork closely with estimators, project managers, and site teams to understand the full project lifecycle.\nDevelop an understanding of industry costs, materials, and pricing trends.\nMaintain accurate records of quotations, tenders, and cost data.\nAttend site visits, pre-tender meetings, and training sessions as required.\nContribute to the continuous improvement of processes by bringing enthusiasm and fresh ideas.\nAttend client and design team meetings, presenting estimates and offering advice.\nSupport other estimating team members and contribute to the ongoing development of the estimating function.\n This is a development role where you will gain practical experience in estimating, supply chain management, and tender preparation, learning from experienced construction professionals. This will be dovetailed with academic development via an agreed pathway with our chosen training partner. There is an opportunity to progress to estimator level as your skills and experience grow.
