EXCITING INTERIM HEAD OF FP&A ROLE (6 MONTHS)
I am working with an International Charity that is going through a period of change, working closely with a brilliant Finance Director.
This is a unique opportunity to design, implement and embed high-performing finance processes within a newly established team. My client is looking for a resilient, hands-on leader who can build from the ground up and then stabilise and optimise for long-term success.
You will play a key strategic role, providing financial insight and performance reporting to the Senior Management Team and Board, while driving continuous improvement across systems, governance and risk.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Performance Management
Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles
Own monthly performance reporting and present financial results to Executive Directors and the Board
Define and track organisational KPIs and finance team metrics
Manage financial reporting requirements for funders and stakeholders
Leadership & Business Partnering
Build, lead and develop a high-performing FP&A team
Provide strategic oversight of annual reporting processes
Mentor the Controller and support auditor relationships
Upskill non-finance budget holders to strengthen financial literacy
Champion the finance function as a proactive, value-adding partner
Strategic Finance & Operations
Oversee capital management and rolling cash flow forecasting
Lead cost and income allocation processes
Implement and manage finance risk frameworks
Systems, Governance & Compliance
Drive finance systems improvements and automation initiatives
Maintain ownership of the Chart of Accounts and finance policies
Support statutory accounting and compliance activity
Lead internal audit and risk management programmes
The successful candidate
An exceptional communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
Experienced in delivering results in fast-paced, evolving environments
Comfortable working with ambiguity and building processes from scratch
