As a Materials Management Analyst II (Buyer) here at Honeywell, you will play a key role in supporting and optimizing materials management processes within our aerospace operations. You will be responsible for analyzing inventory data, coordinating procurement activities, and ensuring the efficient flow of materials to meet production demands. You will report directly to our Materials Management Manager and you'll work out of our Christchurch, Dorset, United Kingdom location on an On-site work schedule. In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain by ensuring materials availability, minimizing inventory costs, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the aerospace manufacturing environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Order Management: Working with internal customers, specifically Engineering and Material Controlers and Stores, take ownership of Order Book Create a strict plan keeping the items in control, and identifying gaps in the supply chain management, whilst ensuring all internal customers are aware of due dates and any delays. Strategic Sourcing: Par take in end-to-end sourcing events, from defining requirements with internal stakeholders to evaluating and selecting vendors. Cost & value optimization: Analyze spend patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities and manage the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Supplier relationship management (SRM): Develop long-term partnerships with strategic suppliers to drive innovation and ensure service quality. Risk & resilience: Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks. ESG & Sustainability: Integrate ethical sourcing and carbon tracking into procurement criteria to meet corporate responsibility goals. Any other ADHOC requirements within the department as directed by the Site Leader and/or Materials Manager. YOU MUST HAVE Minimum 3-5 years of buying experience in materials management or supply chain within a manufacturing or aerospace environment. Experience with order book management. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations. Proficiency with SAP, and any other inventory management software relevant to materials planning. Knowledge of procurement processes and inventory control techniques. WE VALUE Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field. Experience in aerospace or high-technology manufacturing environments. Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
