The Role in Detail Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Litigation Matters: Managing a varied caseload of commercial and civil litigation matters from inception to resolution Advising on landlord and tenant disputes including possession claims, dilapidations, and lease disputes Handling breach of contract claims for commercial and individual clients Managing debt recovery proceedings including statutory demands, winding-up petitions, and enforcement Advising on insolvency matters including creditor claims and director disputes Conducting commercial litigation including shareholder disputes, partnership disputes, and business-to-business claims Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and court bundles Representing clients at court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations Client Relationship Management: Building strong, trusted relationships with commercial and individual clients Providing clear, pragmatic, and commercially minded legal advice Acting as a trusted advisor during challenging and complex disputes Managing client expectations and delivering exceptional service standards Business Development & Team Collaboration: Building rapport with referrers and generating new client relationships Contributing to monthly targets and KPIs whilst maintaining exceptional service standards Supporting business development initiatives including networking and client engagement Working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm to deliver seamless client service What We're Looking For Essential Requirements: 4 years PQE as a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with solid litigation experience Strong technical knowledge across commercial and civil litigation matters Proven experience in landlord and tenant disputes, breach of contract claims, debt recovery, insolvency, and commercial litigation Excellent advocacy skills – confident representing clients at court hearings, mediations, and negotiations Strong drafting skills – ability to produce high-quality pleadings, witness statements, and legal documents Excellent communication skills – confident, clear, articulate, and approachable with clients and colleagues Client-focused approach – commitment to delivering exceptional service and building long-term relationships Commercial awareness – ability to provide pragmatic, business-focused advice Strong organisational skills – able to manage a varied caseload, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines Team player with a positive, flexible attitude and collaborative approach High ethical standards – committed to professionalism and integrity in all aspects of work Proficiency in MS Office and legal case management systems Comprehensive Benefits Package What You'll Receive: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications) Genuine flexible/hybrid working – real commitment to work-life balance Clear career progression pathway – structured development with senior mentorship and partnership opportunities Professional training and CPD support – ongoing investment in your skills and expertise Medicash health cash plan – comprehensive health and wellbeing benefits Pension scheme – employer contributions to support your financial future Regular team social events – a culture that values connection and celebration Discounted parking Office closure between Christmas and New Year – extended festive break every year Supportive team environment – work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative setting Ready to Take the Next Step?
